Oregon’s system of marine reserves and protected areas is an investment in the health and future of its ocean.
Who We Are
The Oregon Marine Reserves Partnership (OMRP) is composed of organizations committed to achieving a comprehensive strategy to implement, for all Oregonians, Oregon’s marine reserves, through community engagement, science, communications and support. The OMRP is a platform for sharing knowledge, setting strategic areas of focus, and coordinating activities to leverage collective strengths.
The Oregon Marine Reserve Partnership is made up of members from community teams at each of the marine reserves including North Coast Land Conservancy, Cascade Head Biosphere Reserve, Friends of Otter Rock, Cape Perpetua Collaborative, and Redfish Rocks Community Team. OMRP is also supported by state-wide affiliate partners. Click each link to learn more about each group.
Our Mission
The priority and focus for the OMRP is to promote durable and effective marine reserve and protected area implementation that has the appreciation, awareness, and support of the public. As a partnership, we support scientific research, community engagement, and effective communications across Oregon’s five marine reserves to advance understanding and protection of our natural spaces.
